Liquid Chloride (Cl2)
There is also a production of liquid chlorine (Cl2) of 16 500T/year: liquid chlorine is produced by adding gaseous chlorine (97%) which is produced by the electrolysis of brine on sulfuric acid H2SO4 in order to absorb chlorine water, then it is compressed by a compressor and cooled using a heat exchanger.
Applications of Cl2:
- Water and waste water treatment.
- Packaged in 1 MT cylinders.
